Trim Levels (Exterior)
Nine trims are available for the 2022 Chevrolet Silverado: WT (Work Truck), Custom, Custom Trail Boss, LT, RST, LT Trail Boss, LTZ, ZR2, and High Country. Starting with the no-frills WT trim, you get a dozen in-bed tie-downs, a Chevrolet graphic blacked-out grille, and black bumpers. The Custom trim comes with 20-inch Bright Silver aluminum wheels and LED taillights. Opting for the LT or Custom Trail Boss trim gives you 18-inch high-gloss black wheels and a 2-inch suspension lift.
Moving up to the LT trim gives you 17-inch Bright Silver wheels, a chrome center grille bar, and LED headlights. The RST trim bears exterior features such as a body-color center grille bar and cargo bed lighting. On the LTZ trim, you get upgrades like a power liftgate and high-intensity LED headlights. Finally, the premier High Country trim adds further refinements such as 20-inch machined-face wheels and an exclusive grille featuring a two-tone bronze and chrome finish.
Engine (Power)
Four engine options are available across the various trims. The base engine for the WT, Custom, Custom Trail Boss, LT, and RST trims is a 2.7-liter turbo engine paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission that produces 310 horsepower and 348 pound-feet of torque. Opting for the LTZ trim level upgrades the engine to the well-known 5.3-liter EcoTec3 V-8 engine, delivering 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque.
If you choose the Custom Trail Boss trim, the standard engine is a powerful 6.2-liter EcoTec3 V-8 engine churning out 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. Finally, a Duramax turbo-diesel engine is available for most trims and will generate 277 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque.

The most well-equipped 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 can tow a maximum of 13,000 pounds, plenty of power to bring your equipment on a work trailer, ATV, boat, or camper for your leisure time.
