Alameda Park Trails Over 11 miles of singletrack are spread out across several trails in this community park on the western outskirts of Butler. All the trails are built to the latest IMBA standards, guaranteeing a fun ride for all. Start at Maryland Avenue, one of the oldest logging roads in the park that provides access to many of the other trails in the park. It's sometimes wet in places after heavy rains. From here you can access many of the tougher trails on the north side of the creek, including the intermediate Lift Ticket and Rocky and Bulwinkle trails. Both of these provide access to the expert Flying Squirrel Trail, a fast and technical downhill run with three sections of large bumps. It's not for the faint-hearted! 3. Moraine Bike Trail Located in the nearby Moraine State Park, this long, level paved trail follows the twists and turns of Lake Arthur's shoreline. Rolling terrain and beautiful scenery make it a great choice. It's just over 7 miles long, with parking lots at either end. It's frequently used by runners and walkers, so keep an eye out when you're riding. Water and bathrooms are speckled along the route but are all closed in the off-season. 4. Moraine Full Meal Deal The various singletrack trails at Moraine State are frequently combined into one long ride, which covers 12 miles of steep ups and downs. Lots of climbing, technical obstacles, and downhills are on the cards here. It's worth taking a map, as the various tracks can get confusing. The ride starts and finishes at the Mt. Union parking lot, and immediately crosses several rock gardens, before heading up to the top of a ridge.  The trails follow the ridge eastwards, before descending through a valley. Expect lots of ups and downs as you head eastward, before turning south along one of two powerline clearings. Without effective brakes, you lose almost all control over your car and this can easily lead to an accident. The friction material on the brake pads helps to stop the rotors quicker. As you use your brakes, the friction material gradually starts to wear off. When the material has worn off completely the metal of the brake pad will be in direct contact with the metal rotors when you brake. If you're not sure whether or not your car needs new tires, you're in the right place. Tires due for replacement have many signs, and you can easily check them. Read on for five signs from your Chevy dealer that your tires need replacing. more 1. Your Car Is Difficult to Steer If your car feels like it's drifting to the left or right, then you may need replacement tires. Problems with steering or car handling are often a sign that your alignment is off. Misaligned or unbalanced tires can lead to tire cupping. Tire cupping occurs when the tires wear down unevenly, taking on a scalloped appearance. Have your car's tires and alignment checked by one of our Chevy certified technicians if you are experiencing any of these issues. Misaligned tires can be dangerous, so bring your vehicle in right away! 2. Vibrations or Shaking Vibrations or shaking can have many causes but are often due to faulty tires. Tread separation and flat spots can cause vibrations while creating potentially unsafe driving conditions. These damaged tires can cause steering and handling problems, creating an uncomfortable ride and a safety issue. 3. The Tread on Your Tires Is Visibly Low Tire tread is an important factor in overall car safety. Not only does it help your car grip the road and improve braking performance, but it also helps to prevent hydroplaning. When driving in wet or snowy conditions, if your tires don't have enough tread depth, the lack of traction can cause you to lose control. Visually inspect your tires regularly and be sure to check various spots on each tire. If you can see that your tire tread is low, it means you need a new set of tires. Aging Tires Minimally used tires tend to experience aging instead of wearing. An aging tire has a substantial amount of tread; however, due to the chemicals used to manufacture the tires, the structure of the tires will break down. Aging tires are risky for driving and should be replaced every 4 to 6 years. While it may be tempting to put off buying tires, it's always best to replace them sooner rather than later.
