Heavy-duty performance meets next-level technology and premium luxury features in the 2024 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD, a rugged pickup that’s ready for tough workloads, long-distance road trips, and everything in between with the following highlights.

Muscular Performance

The 2024 edition of the Silverado 2500 HD has two engines to offer, both 6.6-liter V8s. The first, a gas engine, produces 410 horsepower alongside 464 pound-feet of torque, which translates to an impressive 18,700-pound tow rating. However, if you need more strength, the other engine is a diesel variant that boosts output to 470 horsepower and 975 pound-feet of torque while towing up to 22,500 pounds.

Four-wheel drive is optional, and while this truck’s 4×4 system is more than capable of tackling mud, sand, and other rugged terrains, there are many other off-roading extras available. These include all-terrain tires, an off-road suspension system, an electronic-locking rear differential, and Rancho twin-tube shocks.

Luxuries and Design

The truck’s cab is as comfortable as it is luxurious inside, with power-adjustable front seats available with both heating and ventilation options, as well as optional heated rear seats. A 60/40 split-folding rear bench seat comes standard, and while the available dual-zone climate control and standard rear air vents add to all this convenience, plenty of style can be found in the many seating material options, which range from premium cloth to perforated leather.

Outside the truck, heavy-duty tie-downs come standard, as do cab-mounted cargo area lamps, and when combining these with the available bed LED lighting, spray-on bedliner, and Multi-Flex Tailgate, cargo loading is made much easier. You can also protect your payloads with both soft and hard tonneau cover options. Climbing into the cabin is a breeze with the power-retractable assist steps, and when driving in rough weather conditions, the heated trailering mirrors and rain-sensing wipers are sure to be appreciated.

Next-Level Technology

Tech highlights found in this pickup include standard features like the Wi-Fi hotspot and the HD Rear Vision Camera. Every model also comes with the Chevrolet Infotainment 3 System, which integrates with a 13.4-inch diagonal touchscreen in upper trim levels, and the available head-up display transmits key driving info and notifications to your windshield, while opting for the premium Bose audio system puts seven high-clarity speakers throughout the cabin.

Also impressive are this edition’s many safety and driver-assist features, with the IntelliBeam headlamps, the Following Distance Indicator, Forward Collision Alert with Automatic Emergency Braking, Front Pedestrian Braking, and Lane Departure Warning all coming standard. Additional features, including both Front and Rear Park Assist, the 360-degree HD Surround Vision camera system, Rear Cross Traffic Braking, and Lane Change Alert with Side Blind Zone Alert are all available.
