Known for its impressive list of standard features, luxuriously smooth ride, and expansive cargo space, the 2024 Chevy Equinox needs to be on the shortlist for your next new vehicle. As a compact crossover, the Equinox strikes the perfect balance between convenience and capability, letting you hit the open road with plenty of cargo in tow or slink through the city center in style.
1. Equinox LS AWD
Chevy’s baseline Equinox model, the LS, is the most affordable entry into the Equinox line. It comes standard with the same 1.5L Turbo four-cylinder engine as the other Equinox models, putting it on level footing in terms of engine performance with even the most expensive options.
It also comes standard with Chevy Safety Assist, which includes automatic emergency braking, front pedestrian braking, lane keep assist, and a host of other safety features. You’ll also enjoy Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capabilities as well as Chevy’s Teen Driver technology. Offering features like driving “report cards” and mandatory buckle up before shifting, this tech makes the Equinox a perfect option for a teen’s first ride.
2. Equinox LT AWD
The Equinox LT adds a few small luxuries that give it a distinct edge over the LS model. LED daytime running lights make for a safer driving experience at all hours, a power driver seat with power lumbar control gives you ultimate control over your comfort, and the standard 4.2-inch multicolor display provides the info you need in a format that’s easy to interpret, even on the road.
3. Equinox RS AWD
The Equinox RS takes those small luxuries further still, adding a power liftgate for easy access to the trunk with your hands full and front and rear parking assist technology for even easier navigation of busy areas. The RS model also includes LED taillamps which may not seem huge, but LEDs are more visible, more energy efficient, and they last longer, meaning safer driving and less maintenance for you.
4. Equinox Premier AWD
Chevy’s Equinox Premier, the highest trim available, takes Chevy’s infotainment setup to the highest level with the Chevrolet Infotainment 3 Plus system. It upgrades the driver display to an 8-inch HD touchscreen, offers voice recognition, and is capable of utilizing in-vehicle apps.
Premier drivers will also enjoy a hands-free power liftgate to make accessing the car as easy as possible in addition to 18-inch machined-face aluminum wheels for an extra pop of stylish craftsmanship. While not standard, the Premier also features available upgrades like ventilated front seats and all-weather floormats for even more customization at the high end.
